About Austin

I love to see the joy and excitement in my niece and nephew's eyes. They light up my world! They are so much fun and I enjoy every moment I get to spend with them. I can’t wait until the day that I have a family of my own. I moved away from home shortly after high school and missed out on a lot. Growing up with a large loving family and living close to them again is an awesome opportunity. Jessica and I really enjoy being able to spend more time with our families again!

The first birthday that I have been home for in more than 5 years.
Got to spend it with my family, nephews and Jessica!

After graduating high school I joined the Air Force and moved to Alaska. I got to see and do some amazing things. I traveled all over the world. After the military I went to work in the oilfield. It has also given me an opportunity to do a lot of traveling as well, but there is no place like the good old USA! I really enjoyed my time in Alaska. Jessica and I have a lot of special memories in Alaska. There was always something to do outside, whether it was hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, four wheeling, or snowmobiling. Alaska is truly the last frontier and I loved it. But my family is more important to me and I didn’t want to miss out on spending any more time with them.

Living in Montana now has it perks as well and has allowed us to thaw out. I enjoy spending time with my dad and uncles, working on projects around the family farm. I also have 5 great brother in-laws to hang out with. My brother in-law Jared and I have had many great adventures hunting the back country of Montana and recently Alaska too. We have had lots of fun packing back in to the wilderness with horses. We are looking forward to the days when Jared’s three boys will be able to come along with us. There is so much beautiful country that God created for us to explore and enjoy. I love exploring new places and seeing the many beauties and wonders of this land.

Hiking with Jessica, not too far from our home, this past summer

I really enjoyed this past summer going camping with all of my family. It is a tradition to go to the lake for one week and camp out, play in the water and pick the elusive huckleberry! It was a blast with all of my little nephews. We had so much fun at the lake playing on the water. I look forward to sharing our family traditions with my future children when we adopt. Becoming a father would bless my life tremendously and I am so excited to share the life that Jessica and I have created with our future children.
